Gilt-bronze Monkey Bell, the seated monkey forging a drum-shaped bell with a hammer, designed to ring bell with hammer when the monkey's tail is pulled, on oval gray marble base, ht. 6 3/4 in. The hammer no longer strikes bell, bell with some corrosion and pitting, several components loose, chips to marble.
