German Porcelain Cabinet Portrait Plate Depicting Jane Digby, Lady Ianthe Ellenborough, late 19th/early 20th century, after the painting by Joseph Karl Stieler, the beauty in maroon dress against green drapery, with cobalt blue rim with raised gilt decoration, signed H. Weigel l.l., dia. 10 in. Note: The original painting by Stieler, after which this plate is decorated, was executed in 1831 for inclusion in the Gallery of Beauties at Nymphenburg Palace. In very good condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restorations.
