American School, early 20th century. Pair of oil on board paintings comprising of one maritime scene depicting three tall ships in a moonlight setting on calm waters, with one ship in the near foreground with hues of red on the right side of the ship, and two ships in silhouette in the far background to the right, with a clouded moon; a marsh scene with a low moon peeking between reeds and bare trees, and a small fire on shore in the left foreground beneath cloudy nighttime skies. Inscribed on verso of both pieces "Painted by G. Davis". Framed 13.5" x 16.5", unframed 9" x 12".
