George III Sterling Silver Teapot, London, 1802, maker's mark GR, ovoid, with domed lid and flaring ovoid finial, leaf and shell-topped ear handle, engraved at waist with band of S-scroll leaves, base of body engraved with vertical panels, with small crest and bright cut monogram, ht. 6 1/2 in., approx. 18 troy oz. lid loose on hinge. small pinhole at center of body at seam below handle, and at waist to right of handle. tiny split to tip of spout. wear to monogram. pinpoints.
