Continental Silver Naughty Automaton Matchsafe, late 19th century, rectangular, the two larger sides with geometric engine-turned ground, the ends with lid for match storage and a striking surface, the top with hidden spring loaded lid opening to reveal naughty scene with goldwashed accenting of a man and woman in flagrante delicto , 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 in. , approx. 2 troy oz. Not in working condition but all parts appear to be present; spring likely frozen, general usage wear.
