Transfer-decorated Creamware Tankard Depicting Commodore Decatur, England, early 19th century, depicting a black transfer bust-length profile portrait of Commodore Stephen Decatur, with his name inscribed above and banner inscribed "FREE TRADE & SAILORS RIGHTS" on a banner below, over the inscription "Deftroyed the Frigate Philadelphia 1814," (loose segment, hairlines), ht. 5 3/4 in. four hairlines from rim, one on base, old loss in one piece and retain inside mug, small base and rim chip.
