Gilt-decorated Lacquerware Tea Caddy, China, 19th century, rectangular box with brass swing handles, hinged lid opening to two rectangular and one round lead cannister with engraved decoration, the exterior and interior center panel decorated with courtly figures, the background with flowers, leaves, and dragons with floral and leafy borders, (shrinkage crack along rear top of lid), ht. 7, wd. 13 3/4, dp. 9 1/4 in. One handle with solder repair, missing one cannister lid and interior lid, small loss to rt. front corner.
