Stenciled Column Mahogany Shelf Clock by George Mitchell, Bristol, Connecticut, c. 1840 with half stenciled columns flanking the glazed door over the painted wooden dial with Roman numerals, reverse-painted tablet depicting a fashionable residence within a gilt border, printed maker's label inside backboard, wooden thirty-hour time and strike movement with two cast iron weights and pendulum, ht. 32 in. splat and finials are replacements.
