Iver Johnson Sporting Goods Store Carved and Painted Wooden Double-Barrel Shotgun Trade Sign, c. 1900, 304 Main St., Worcester, Massachusetts, with wrought iron trigger guard and display mounting bracket, lg. 92 in. Provenance: One of the two signs made for the Worcester and Boston, Massachusetts store locations. The locations were closed in 1955. The Worcester location's sign has been owned continuously by the consignor since the store's closing. Norman Flayderman purchased the gun displayed at the 55 Washington St., Boston, location, which he later re-sold in the 1960s to a New Hampshire collector.
