Sterling Repousse Tete-a-Tete Tea Set, New York, late 19th century, ovoid teapot, creamer and covered sugar with lobing to top rim, chased and embossed with flowerheads and scrolling acanthus leaves, teapot ht. 4 3/4 in., approx. 21 troy oz. total. teapot lacking lid hinge pin (lid comes off), with possible repair, or just construction flaw at join of hinge to lidball finial of sugar with very light dings. base of handle pushed into creamer slightly. minor age wear.
