George III Silver Basket, London, 1802, makers' mark rubbed, boat shaped, with pierced and engraved husk borders and reeded rim, swing handle, on oval foot, later chased and embossed with central flowering and scrolling vines, monogrammed, lg. 12 7/8 in., approx. 18 troy oz. later chased and embossed, and monogrammed. maker's mark rubbed. body compressed somewhat onto foot (visible as halo in interior of body). ding to interior just off center. overall minor age/usage wear.
