George III Mahogany Sarcophagus-form Tea Caddy, c. 1800, with boxwood string inlay to corners, ivory/bone escutcheon, pressed metal flower basket pendant handles to sides, with later fabric lining to interior, wd. 7 5/8, ht. 5 1/2, dp. 4 1/2 in. veneer cracking to left and right panels of lid. lid not sitting flush at front of box. boxwood inlay lifting to left front edge. age wear to metal handles. later red fabric lining to interior.
