French Empire Bronze-mounted Mahogany Secretaire a Abattant, early 19th century, lacking marble top, rectangular case fitted with fall front, projecting frieze drawer and pair of doors, flanked by freestanding columns on shaped feet, ht. 56, wd. 38 3/4, dp. 18 1/2 in. NO LONGER A MARBLE TOP TO THIS LOT. Five significant chips to frieze drawer, shrinkage cracking to fall front and both lower doors and with mild losses to lower doors, the base with 7+ veneer chips and rubbed base, one column off but present, one foot off but present, age typical minor additional defects.
