Oak Longcase Clock by Collier, Newport, England, c. 1800, with pitched pediment hood, freestanding fluted columns with gilded capitals, serpentine top waist door flanked by quarter-columns, raised panel base and ogee bracket feet, 12 in. sheet brass engraved dial with phoenix and Tempus Fugit in the arch, Roman numerals, engraved decoration and signed Collier, Newport , eight-day time and strike movement with recoil escapement, rack and snail, two iron weights and pendulum, ht. 88 1/2 in. Lower portion of backboard an old restoration, some veneer repair, movement needs an overhaul.
