Attributed to Marinus Adrianus Koekkoek (Dutch, 1807-1870) Cleve on the Rhine Signed "MA Koekkoek" l. r., identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on panel, 6 3/4 x 8 3/4 in. (17.2 x 22.2 cm), framed. Condition: Very mild varnish inconsistencies, fine craquelure, surface grime. Provenance. A New England institution. There is some small to medium areas of old washes of retouch. Scattered craquelure appears stable. The work might benefit from a gentle cleaning.
