Eugène Carrière (French, 1849-1906) Lot of Two Portraits: Méditation, 1893, published by Ed Sagot, Paris, with dry stamp l. l. (Delteil, 14); and Maternité (petite planche), 1896 (Delteil, 23). Both signed "...Eugène Carrière" in the matrix and with collector's stamp "SPB" l.r. Lithographs on paper (latter on chine collé), image sizes to 9 1/2 x 5 7/8 in. (24.1 x 14.8 cm), matted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 3 inches, subtle toning to former. Both sheets have minor soiling. Meditation has broken hinges and scattered foxing. The sheet measures 17 3/4 x 12 3/8 in. Maternite has a sheet measuring 12 3/4 x 9 7/8 in.
