Pair of Carved Cinnabar Vases, China, of globular shape, the exterior carved with two cartouches of herbaceous peony branches issuing from rockwork and reserved on a diaper ground, below a band of floral scrolls around the shoulder and the neck, the mouth rim and foot ring each bound within a copper band, wood stand, ht. 6 1/2 in. Minor loss to the carving, cracklines and loss to the stands
