Doucai Jar, China, finely painted with butterflies amidst peony sprigs, between floral collar lappet around the shoulder and a band of upright leafy tips above the foot, Jiaqing six-character iron-red mark on the base, ht. 7 3/4 in. Loss and short cracks to the foot ring, nicks to the mouth rim, horizontal crack line inside the neck, scratches to the surface.
