Two Pieces of Swiss Marquetry-inlaid and Carved Walnut "Black Forest" Furniture, early 20th century, both inlaid with fruitwood scenes of deer on an ebonized ground, both carved in high relief with foliage and rustication, ht. of table 29, wd. 30 1/2, dp. 22 in. Property sold for the benefit of the Brooklyn Museum. Chair: good condition overall; only minor, age typical scuffs, dents and usage wear. Table: top with minor scuffing; standard with long shrinkage cracks top to bottom; one side of apron with openwork carving lacking; legs good.
