Continental Baroque-style Gros and Petit-point Upholstered "Great Chair", early 20th century, over-upholstered backrest and seat with designs of figures and animals in exotic landscapes, foliate carved arms, legs carved with eagles and foliage, on scrolled feet, seat ht. 19, wd. 22, dp. 19 1/2 in. Overall good condition; minor crack to left arm; minor rubbing to extremities; upholstery in very good shape; some rubbing to hand holds; age typical minor defects and imperfections. Height of the seatback is 46 1/4".
