the greyish celadon stone having russet hues, the compressed body carved in relief depicting lotus sprays, between two rows of radiating chrysanthemum petals, flanked by a pair of elephant head-form handles suspending loose rings, the domed cover with another row of petals and a knob finial, raised on a fitted hardwood stand. Height of jade 3 1/2 x width over handles 5 7/8 inches.
