of rectangular section supported on four scroll carved bracket feet, the upcurved top centered with a medallion circled by four flower heads and clouds, having further cranes on each side, above a large rectangular shelf and two small rectangular shelves beside two hinged doors and a small drawer, further raised on two hinged doors, decorated to the whole exterior with mother-of-pearl, shagreen and simulated tortoise shell depicting a pair of confronting phoenixes and a pair of confronting sinuous ferocious dragons amongst clouds, the shaped apron having a central medallion with interlocking circles, leaf and melons on the sides. Height 39 7/8 x width 31 x depth 14 3/4 inches.
