the first example English, 1920s, the handle unscrewing from collar to reveal a hollow shaft for a glass flask with the top of handle forming a cup with gilt interior, having a thick integral collar on a Macassar ebony shaft ending in a horn tip; the second English, Chester, 19th century, having a lightly engraved handle with floral decoration, maker's mark on a malacca shaft; the last French Art Nouveau, having an L-shaped handle with foliate decoration over a hardwood shaft ending in a brass ferrule and a steel tip. Length of first overall 36 1/2 inches.
