Henry Page (English, fl. 1878-1890). "Puppies and Kittens", oil on canvas, signed lower right "H. M. Page". Charming painting depicting an interior scene with two small puppies at center atop a collection of yarn and string, one sitting on hind legs with forlorn look on his face as his counterpart leans down and grasps the tail of a kitten in his jaws, the kitten at left curling its body around to hiss at the attacking dog, with a second cat or kitten in background walking along a stone wall. Framed approximately 23" x 28.75", unframed approximately 18" x 24". Provenance: From the Estate of Mr. & Mrs. H.C. Carson of Atlanta, Georgia.
