First edition, with clipped inscription signed ("To Pastor [illeg.], with the compliments of the author / Charles Gayarre") tipped to the half-title, vol. 2. Rare first edition, in French, of this work by Gayarre, grandson of the mayor of New Orleans. Edgewear and light soiling to boards; intermittent foxing; half-title vol. 2 trimmed.
