of baluster form with beaded and rope-twist borders, the body applied with die-roll band of anchors and tridents linked by chains, the stepped hinged cover with fully modeled finial formed as an anchor with lines and pulley, laurel wreath thumbpiece, engraved on one side with presentation inscription dated 1877, the other side with a burgee, 36 ozt 6 dwt. Height 10 3/4 inches.
