J. H. Martens, Friburg iB. Baden, Swiss, No. 1697, circa 1860. Very fine 18K gold hunting cased pocket chronometer. Four body, massive, "bassine et filets " , engineturned. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minutes ring and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel "spade" hands. Notes The movement of this chronometer is made with the calibre used by Favre-Bulle for pocket chronometers with tourbillon regulator.
