The Tiger HuntAbrecht & Co, Calcutta, enamel attributable to P. A. Champod, Swiss, circa 1895, made for the Indian market. White enamel with floral paillon decoration on both sides, apertures in the centre for digital hour and minutes, subsidiary seconds dial. Notes A. Kaiser of Fribourg, Switzerlandinvented a very interesting digital display mechanism. Kaiser patented his invention on Dec 21, 1883. It is applicable to any counting device and was presumably also used as a counter. He mounted an additional spring-loaded wheel on the third driving wheel that jumped forward when the spring was released.Champod P.A.For a biography, see lot 86.
