The Cockle-shellFrères Bordier, Geneva, No. 67896, circa 1810.Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel form watch with concealed dial, designed as a cockle-shell. Notes Les frères Bordierare known to have been associated since 1787. In 1815 they are recorded as being at Grand Mezel. They made pair-cased, repeating watches and form watches, decorated with enamel and precious and semi-precious stones.
