Piguet & Capt, Genève, case by Jean Georges Remond et Compagnie, circa 1810, made for the Near Eastern market. Very fine and extremely rare gold and enamel musical zarf. Scalloped edge, body overlaid with translucent red enamel over an engine turned ground, engraved floral swagswith enamel detail, shaped flush-fit liner concealing the musical movement, flared base with chased foliate andenamel decoration. 29 mm., brass, pinned cylinder with two steel combs, activated by sliding a button in thebody and wound by a filigree disc under the base. Fitted red morocco leather covered case.The base stamped with the marks of J.G. Remond et Compagnie and Piguet & Capt.Dim. 52 mm. high.
