Fine and rare, center seconds, self-winding, water resistant, stainless steel diver’s wristwatch with a stainless steel Rolex Fliplock Oyster bracelet. Accompanied by the original warranty (now void), anchor, 2 instruction booklets and a fitted box. Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated unidirectional revolving black bezel for the decompression times, Triplock winding-crown protected by the crown guard, sapphire crystal with cyclops lens. Black with applied luminous steel round, triangular and baton indexes, aperture for the date. Luminous steel skeleton hands. Cal. 3135, rhodium-plated, oeil-de-perdrix decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 13 mm. Notes In 1989, the Submariner received another update and evolved into the reference 16610. The new caliber 3135 movement was installed, which featured a 28,800 BPH. The present ref. 16610 was retailed by Tiffany & Co. and is one of the last examples of a 'Submariner' co-branded by a retailer.
