MusicalWall Clock Austrian. Made circa 1820. Fine and rare, two-tune, musical hour striking and repeating wall clock. Three-body, “Empire”, polished bezels, the band entirely cast with a repeated hexagonal pattern, loose ring pendant. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic fifteenminute numerals, inner half-hour divisions. Blued steel Breguet hands. 49 mm., watch movement, frosted gilt, full plate, cylindrical pillars, fixed going barrel, verge escapement, three-arm brass balance, pierced and engraved continental balance cock, silvered regulation dial, striking and repeating on a gong, strike/silent and pull repeat buttons in the band. Musical movement: 60 mm., pinned brass cylinder playing a selection of two tunes on 56 tuned steel teeth, buttons for play/stop and tune selection in the band. Diam. 128 mm
