Do Rumare, Geneva, David Oltramare, circa 1635. Fine and very rare gilt-metal and rock crystal crucifix watch. Gilt-brass frame, engraved with delicate foliage sprays. Hinged facetted rock crystal cover and back loose-ring pendant and button final. Hinged gilt brass dial plate engraved with foliage and John the Baptist. Applied silver dial, the center engraved with an urban scene, Roman hour chapters and half-hour divisions. Single brass hand. GiIt brass shaped plates, turned ballaster pillars, fusee with gut line, short train, verge escapement, two-arm steel balance without spring. Irregular oval florally pierced and engraved cock. Ratchet wheel set-up (click later). Signed on the movement. In very good condition. Diam. 62 x 36 mm.
