Ganthony, 83 Cheapside, London, circa 1840. Rare and extremely fine ormolu carriage clock, in the manner of Thomas Cole, specially made to be presented to the Vicountess Valentia. Rectangular, with eight applied flat columns, arched pediment and glazed side and top panels, entirely engraved with scrolls, figures of saints between the columns on the face and with a sitting lady with chiidren, below the dial. Inscription on the pediment: F.I.F. OB. Vlll. MAII A.
