Ed. Robert Theurer, No. 7137, Chaux-de- Fonds, Swiss, circa 1840. Fine and rare, 18 ct, extremely thin, half skeletonized "Bagnolet" watch. Double body, with reeded band and engine-turned back. White enamel chapter ring with Roman numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. 17", inverted gilt brass, bar caliber, fully engraved with scroll and flowers, visible train of wheels and the free standing barrel with female winding hole, sunk on the reverse of the single plate and secured by bridges. Cylinder escapement, plain polished steel three arm balance, ruby endstone and flat balance spring. In very good condition. Diam. 45 mm.
