Clerget à Dijon, circa 1790. Rare silver self winding watch with special escapement. Slightly later, specially made, three body " Empire", with reeded band and engine-turned back. White enamel with Breguet numerals. Blued steel "spade" hands with pierced tip. GiIt brass, full plate inverted, with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, virgule escapement with plain brass three arm balance on the dial plate, flat balance spring. The gilt winding weight is pivoted on the edge of the back plate with steel spring bankers. Signed on the winding weight. In good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
