J. François Poncet, Dresden, made for the Dutch marquet, circa 1760. Fine silver pair cased alarum, quarter repeating coach watch. Outer silver, shagreen covered. Inner double body, with articulated pendant, pierced with formai decoration. Silver champleve with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring with arched divisions, inner revolving alarm setting disc. GiIt brass pierced hands. GiIt brass full plate with shapedl pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring and gilt brass English style cock with ruby endstone. Alarm and pull repeating on a bell, the alarm train with a fixed gilt brass barrel, engraved with decoration. Signed onthe back plate. In good condition. Diam. 105 mm. Interessante orologio da carrozza, ripeti-zione a quarti e sveglia, a doppia cassa in argento. In buone condizioni.
