Vulliamy, London, No. m.z.s.c. Swiss, made for the English market, circa 1840. Rare small 18 ct. gold minute-repeating watch with a special escapement. Four body, massive "quatre baguettes" engineturned, a small monogram on the back. Gold cuvette. Gold engine-turned with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds. Blued-steel Breguet hands. Notes A gold semi-circular strip is fitted to protect the balance from possible magnetism in the gongs.
