Henry Massy, London, circa 1700. Fine and rare, silver pair cased, Royal presentation watch with wandering hour dial. Outer double body, the back polished. Inner bassine, polished with split bezel. Silver, with an applied miniature portrait of the King over silver gilt military trophies and below the Royal Crown held by two eagles, champlevé Arabic minute sector on the border of a slot, pointed by Roman hour numerals in the revolving aperture and showing the quarters on the inner border. Hinged gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 62 mm. Notes Note: Similar watch by Paul Lullin, London, with the portrait of Louis XIV, in the Musée International d'Horlogerie, La Chaux de Fonds ( Switzerland).
