Henry Capt & Boyer, Genève, certainly made by Louis Audemars in 1856. Fine and very rare 18 ct. gold hunting cased early keyless watch. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes", engineturned with reeded band. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with technical details. White enamel with Roman numerals. Blued steel "fleurs-de-lys" hands. Notes At the time this watch was made in 1856, the Louis Audemars winding system was the only one employed apart from that by Adrien Philippe. This watch moreover embodies a wheel gold train and a straight line lever escapement, two features which were to be found, at this early period, on Audemars watches solely
