L. Charvet Aîné à Lyon, Horloger de la Ville, circa 1870. Fine 18 ct. pink gold hunting cased, keyless pocket chronometer, admitted and tested at the Observatory of Geneva under the No. 29833, in burr walnut veneered fitted box. Four body, massive "Empire" with milled bezels, polished back and band. Hinged engineturned gold cuvette with mention of the Observatory trials. Gold engine-turned with raised Roman numerals and sunk subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands.
