Jodin à Paris, No. 215, circa 1775. Fine 18 ct. three coloured gold, quarter dumb repeating watch. Double body, Louis XVI, the back chased with hunting dogs and trophies, outer rocaille decoration. White enamel with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring (slightly chipped on the border of the winding hole). Gold Louis XV hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with conical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three armbalance, flat balance spring, gilt brass Louis XVI continental cock with polished steel end-piece. Repeating on the case by depressing the pendant. Signed on the back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
