Markwick Markham, Borrell, London, No. 24334, made for the Islamic market, bearing the London hallmarks for 1813. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel triple cased watch. Outer double body, glazed, with scallop edge, the bezels with champleve enamel decoration. Double body second with scallop edge, bezels with champleve formai decoration, the back with a finely painted bunch of flowers against a red translucent enamel over engineturning. Inner double body, bassine, polished, a large rose-diamond set on the pendant. White enamel with Turkish numerals. Gold "poker and beetle" hands. Gilt brass full plate with Egyptian pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock with diamond end-stone. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 45 mm.
