Charles Moricand, Genève, No. 48868, circa 1820. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, turquoise and pearlset pendant watch. Double body Empire with split-pearl set bezels and reeded band, the back with a small painted enamel seaside landscape, (slightly restored), a turquoise chased lyre above with an enamelled score. Gold eccentric with Arabic numerals on enamel cartouches and outer decoration of enamelled peacock feathers (slightly restored). Hinged gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass continental cock with polished steel end-piece. In good condition. Diam. 37 mm.
