Gabriel Tallans (Lausanne), Swiss, circa 1720. Fine and very rare 20 ct. gold, pair-cased watch. Double body outer, repousse and chased with a Cupid, outer alternate bunches of flowers and frofiles between polished sectors. Double body bassine inner, polished. Gold champleve with Roman numerals and outer Arabic minute ring. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass with baluster pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English style cock. Signed on the dial and back plate. In very good condition. Diam. 40 mm.
