William Webster, Exchange Ailey, London, No. 2895, Hallmarked 1770. Very large silver pair cased watch. Outer double body "consular", polished and inner " bassine" polished. White enamel with Roman numerals (slightly cracked on the border). GiIt brass dust-cap. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. Hinged gilt brass full plate with square baluster pillars, fusee with chain, cylinder escapement with plain steel three arm balance, flat balance spring, gilt brass English cock with garnet end-stone. In good condition. (Not illustrated) Diam. 74 mm.
