E. G. Breveté S.G.D.G., French, circa 1890. Very fine "mignonette" carriage clock with porcelain panels. Glazed gilt bronze "corniche", engraved with formai decoration, front, side, top and back panels in porcelain painted with maidens and boys in Romantic costumes, within blue and gilt frames. Porcelain, with Roman numerals and gilt decoration, two sitting maidens painted below the dial. Brass eight-day going with going barrel, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. In very good condition. Dim. 8 x 6 x 5 cm. excluding the handle.
