Guilmet and Japy Frères, No. 871, French, circa 1900. An unusual " Industrial " clock set, in the form of steam-hammer, with a matching pair of candelabra designed as "Press Rollers". Rectangular silvered brass, with raised Roman chapters. Blued-steel Breguet hands. By Japy Frères and stamped Guilmet brass rectangular plates, going barrels, transverse mounted escapement, the pendulum in the form of the actual hammer with counterpoise weight above the movement. Hour/half-hour striking on a bell. Signed on the movement. In very good condition. Dim. 46 x 30 x 11 cm.
