A Monsieur Louis Dollfus Watch No. 2170, sold on 30 April 1929, for the sum of 6500 Francs. Gold keyless watch with split- seconds chronograph, tachometer scale and instantaneous register. Original leather fitted case. Notes Note: With the chapter-ring being reduced in size, and the chronograph scale enlarged and calibrated in red this watch was obviously designed for an activity such as motor-racing or flying, where the tachometer functions need to accurately read at a glance.
