Blondeau à Paris, circa 1840. Fine 18 ct. gold, quarter repeating watch. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes" with reeded band, bezels pendant and bow chased with floral decoration, the engine-turned back engraved with scrolled foliage and floral decoration. Gold cuvette engraved with technical details. White enamel with Roman numerals. Gold Breguet hands. 17–, gilt brass, 8 jewels, ruby cylinder escapement, plain gilt brass three arm balance, "parachute" suspension, flat balance spring and bimetallic compensation curb on the index. Repeating on gongs with pull twist piston on the pendant. Signed on the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 46 mm.
